Pee Dee Chapter of the South Carolina Genealogical Society set to meet

Adam Emrick, senior planner at the Horry County Planning & Zoning Department will speak to the Pee Dee Chapter of the South Carolina Genealogical Society about the activities of the Horry County Board of Architectural Review and Historic Preservation. 
Emrick leads a program to record and protect all cemeteries within Horry County as well as a project to add historic properties to the Horry County Historic Property Register.
The Chapter will meet at 3:00 p.m. on Nov. 8 in the conference center of Pee Dee Federal Savings & Loan, 106 East Court Street in Marion, across the square from the Marion County Courthouse. 
The meeting is open to the public.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to learn more about Emrick’s efforts and the techniques involved in identifying gravesites.
