THOMAS W.
ATKINSON JR.
Services for Thomas W. (T.W.) Atkinson Jr., 76, were held Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Pine Ridge Congregational Holiness Church with the Revs. Wesley Luke and Tommy Brown officiating. Burial followed in T.W.‘s Place (Family Cemetery) directed by Norton Funeral Home. 
Mr. Atkinson died Thursday, Aug. 21. He was born in Hartsville, the son of the late Thomas W. Atkinson Sr. and Ruth O’Neal Atkinson. He attended the Pine Ridge Congregational Holiness Church, was owner and operator of Lakeview Flowers, a charter member of the S.C. Physical Handicapped Society, Chapter 3609 Darlington, where in 1963 he was elected president. He also was a former state president of this association. 
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Betty Jean Kissiah Atkinson of Hartsville; daughter and son-in-law, Wilburn (Wilbur) Jean Atkinson McInville and Michael W. McInville of Hartsville; grandson, Michael Chad (Casey) McInville of Hartsville; great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Daniel Evans, Mychael (Mike-Mike) McInville; brothers, Alton, Herbert, Randal and Beasley Atkinson.

JOSEPH DANIEL YARBOROUGH
FLORENCE - Joseph Daniel “Dan” Yarborough, 74, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, in McLeod Hospice House after a battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., today, Aug. 27, in Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Yarborough was born in Darlington, a son of the late Loren and Elizabeth O. Folsom Yarborough. He was a veteran of the United States Marines.
Mr. Yarborough was employed by Lowe’s Auto Parts, and was owner and operator of Dan’s Pizza Pub in Darlington for 10 years.
He was a Shriner and an Omar Imps Jolly Jeepsters.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Annette Lowe Yarborough in 1992.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Schipman Yarborough of the home; a daughter, Dannette Leigh Munn of Hartsville; a son, Artie Lloyd Yarborough of Florence; two step-daughters, Maggie (Russell) Jarvis and Lorraine Lapsley, both of Tallahassee, Fla.; two step-sons, Marc (Terri) Paul and Russell (Kathy) Paul, both of Tallahassee; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
