Mullins Chamber presents former mayor with Resolution of Appreciation

A Resolution of Appreciation was presented to former Mayor and Mullins Chamber of Commerce Board member Kenneth McDonald.

McDonald, was recognized this past month, for his dedication and commitment to the City of Mullins. The resolution honored him for his years of service. Board members authorizing the recognition were Celia Atkinson, Jerry Bracy, Bob Corley, Neal Fairbanks, Johnny Floyd, Frank Jones, Bernard Geraid, Tammy Hopkins, John Hughes, Richard Little, Ernest Ottinger, Pam Lee, Lawson Battle, Martha Reaves, Roosevelt Stackhouse, Beth Stedman, President Debbie Waltz and Kent Williams.

The resolution reads, in part, “Whereas, McDonald has served on the Mullins Chamber of Commerce as Board of Director from 2005 until 2008; Whereas, McDonald has volunteered over the years to encourage the well-being of our citizens; (and) Whereas, McDonald has played a major role in bringing together business, industry and education in our community for the common good of all people…

“Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Mullins Chamber of Commerce that we thank Kenneth McDonald for his faithful and constructive service in extending the progress of Mullins and promoting the welfare of its people; That we extend him our best wishes and, trusting that the friendships and understanding built in our mutual undertakings will be with us always.”

The resolution was adopted on May 11 and presented shortly thereafter.
