GEORGETOWN—The Mingo Creek Strummers were on the road again October 13 at the invitation of Mrs. Jean McElrath, Activities Director for the Young As Ever group of the First Baptist Church of Georgetown.

The Strummers performed nine dulcimer tunes for the 40 – 50 members attending the group’s monthly event. After the performance the Strummers were invited to partake of the covered dish lunch, central to the monthly meetings. The fellowship, the music and the food were wonderful.

The Mingo Creek Strummers is a Tara Hall club that was organized by Mr. Ron Stephan from Johnsonville and Assistant Director Patsy Morris to teach the boys to play the mountain dulcimer
