David Taylor
Dillon – Mr. David Eugene Taylor, Jr., 57, died Sunday, June 28, 2009 in McLeod Hospice, Florence. Graveside funeral services were at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2009 in Greenlawn Cemetery, directed by Kannaday’s Funeral Home.
Mr. Taylor was born in Dillon, March 16, 1952 a son of Mrs. Margaret Goodwin Taylor and the late David Eugene Taylor. He was married to Wanda Lovette Taylor, was retired textile worker and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Wanda Lovette Taylor of the home, mother Margaret Goodwin Taylor of Dillon, son David Eugene (Teressa) Taylor III of Marion, daughter Susan Taylor (Kevin) Truax of Florence, brothers, Billy G. Taylor of Latta and Robbie H. Taylor of Bath, PA, sister, Sherry Proctor of Hamer, grandchildren, Thomas Eugene Taylor and Georgeanna Eleanor Taylor of Marion and Connor Blake Truax of Florence, and special father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard and Frances Lovette of Little Rock, and special brother, Richard Covington of Fork.

Brenda Kay Prescott George
Temperance Hill – Brenda Kay Prescott George, 61, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in her home after an illness. Funeral Services were at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 3 at Union Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Richardson Funeral Home.
Mrs. George was born in Sumter, a daughter of Gladys Weeks Prescott of Dillon and the late Carlie Roy Prescott. She was a homemaker and member of Union Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert Earl George of the home, son Robert Samuel George, and his wife, Sonya, of Fork, daughter, Khristy Kay George Snipes, and her husband, Robbie of Latta, brothers, Johnny Prescott of North Myrtle Beach, Wayne Prescott of Latta, and Mike Prescott of Marion, a sister, Joyce Rouse of Fork, grandchildren, Samuel and Joshua George of Fork, as well as Benjamin and Mathew Snipes of Latta.
