Marion County arrests: published on April 8

Marion County Sheriff Mark Richardson issued a press release Friday about several extensive drug investigations made by the Marion County Combined Drug Unit.
At 5 a.m. on April 3, the Combined Drug Unit executed two search warrants, simultaneously, at Northside Place Apartments on Mason Court in Marion. Agents from the unit had been conducting investigations into illegal drug sales at the apartments since July 2008.

As a result of the investigations, agents arrested Joshua Allen Green, 24, of Marion for distribution cocaine base, second offense; possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, second offense;  distribution of cocaine base within proximity of a school; and possession with intent to distribute cocaine base within proximity of a school. 

Travis Dewayne Thompson, 25, of Marion, was also arrested for four counts of distribution cocaine base, second offense; four counts of distribution cocaine base within proximity of a school; and unlawful conduct towards a child.  Agents arrested Thompson a month earlier for possession of marijuana, second offense. He was out on bond for that charge.

The drug unit was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, S.C. Department of Probation, Pardon and Parole and the Marion Police Department.

Other arrests:
On April 2, deputies arrested Bobby Allen Lowrimore, Jr. 30, of Marion, for assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
On March 30, deputies arrested Angela Gainey, 30, of Marion, for accessory before the fact to a felony.
On March, deputies arrested Tyrone Godbolt, 31, of Mullins, for forgery, value less than $5,000 and conspiracy.
On March 30, deputies arrested Ronald Tronie Bell, 56, of Marion, for criminal domestic violence.
On March 30, deputies arrested Calvin Williamson, 24, of Mullins, for failure to stop for a blue light, simple possession of marijuana and driving under suspension.
On March 30, deputies arrested Michael Gilchrest, 17, of Nichols, for assault and battery and disturbing schools.
On March 27, deputies arrested Jimmy Leroy Wilkes, Jr., 29, of Marion, for petit larceny and financial transaction card fraud.
On March 28, deputies arrested Alfred Lee Blakney, 54, of Gresham, for public drunk.
On April 1, deputies arrested Presley Floyd, 35, of Fair Bluff, N.C. for simple assault and battery and trespassing.
On April 2, deputies arrested Kelly Don Strickland, 24, of Mullins for assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
On March 30, deputies arrested Johnny Lee Bell, 51, of Mullins, for attempted grand larceny, burglary second degree (non – violent) and grand larceny value more than $1,000.

City of Marion:
On March 28, officers arrested James Graham Williams, 57, of Mullins, for public drunk.
On March 28, officers arrested Zarett Hykeem Hemmingway, 20, of Marion, for driving under suspension 1st.
On March 31, officers arrested Curtis M. Campbell, Jr., 21, of Marion, for criminal domestic violence 1st.
City of Mullins:
On April 1, officers arrested Matthew Gerald of Mullins for attempted burglary and malicious injury to property..
On April 2, officers arrested Matthew Gerald of Mullins for burglary 2 degree.
On March 30, officers arrested Casey Lamar Davis of Mullins for shoplifting.
