Dear Editor
I just wanted to thank City of Marion Mayor Rodney Berry for his assistance in making it possible for a light to be installed at the end of Miles street. 
We were promised this light for the past five years or more, but it never happened until we spoke to Mayor Berry. He told us he would look into this matter and he was true to his word. We thank him for adding to the safety of our neighborhood. 
We thank him and all his staff for being instrumental in seeing that Progress Energy was able to put this light in place. 
We know that he will continue to make changes, so that the citizens will feel safer in our community. 
We look forward to working with him in the future.
