Annual Thomas Hart Halloween Carnival Friday
The 12th Annual Thomas Hart Academy Halloween Carnival will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the school’s gymnasium at 852 Flinns Road.
“While it is a fund-raising opportunity for our growing school, it’s more for the kids in the community to come out and have fun,“ said Lori Fort, carnival committee chairperson. “This year we are having some new attractions like a disco room and a haunted hallway.“
Other carnival booths scheduled to appear are the infamous cake walk, pony rides, inflatable bounce-arounds, a dunking booth, face painting, a costume contest and specially designed booths sponsored by each grade from kindergarten through eighth grade.
Individual booth attraction tickets are for sale, as well as “hopper bands” for $15 that allows a child (or adult) to enjoy most of the booth attractions.
Barbeque plates by Mr. B’s will be for sale for $7 at lunchtime from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and deliveries may be available for larger groups. Dinner barbeque plates for sale from 6 to 9 p.m. Eat in or take out. There will also be hot dogs for sale and baked goodies.
