Fall Challenge brings out baseball fans

Baseball fans had a full weekend at the USSSA Fall Challenge in the Ville at Byerly Park Saturday and Sunday.

The Hartsville Rumble (4-0) took first in the 9 & Under group followed by Bandits Baseball Club (2-2) and Marlboro Bulldogs (0-4).

In the 11 & Under group, Carolina Cavaliers finished first gold, Scotland Stingers second gold, Carolina Copperheads third gold and Palmetto Knights fourth gold. Carolina Warhawks finished first silver, DC Bulldogs second silver, Pee Dee Panthers third silver and Jr. RedWolves fourth silver.

The Hartsville Thunder (4-0) finished first in the 12 & Under group followed by Carolina Storm (3-1), Florence Revolution (2-2), Carolina Braves (1-3) and Palmetto Young Guns (0-4).

Upcoming USSSA baseball tournaments include Monster Mash on Oct. 31 and HartsVegas Diamond Classic on Nov. 21.
