Emmanuel Christian School held its annual spelling bee on Friday morning in the church sanctuary with students, parents and faculty watching. Stephen Smith and Edward Morris, third-graders, were the last two standing in the competition for first through third grade competition. The two top spellers in the fourth and fifth grades, Gage Rivers and Madison Batts, both fourth-graders, will continue to the next level in the independent schools spelling contest.
