Cobras and Patriots Make it an Even Match

The No. 23 ranked Coker soccer team took on cross-town rival Francis Marion University on Tuesday night in a battle for the ages. Both the Cobras and the Patriots played about as even a match as possible, so even in fact, that at the end of two overtime periods and 110 minutes of play no clear winner could be determined, as Coker and Francis Marion tied 1-1.

The non-conference tie moves the Cobras to 7-0-1, with FMU moving to 4-2-1 on the year.
Coker returns to action 4 p.m. Saturday when they host No. 4 ranked Lees-McRae while FMU travels to Georgia Southwestern.
