High Hill will hold revival services
High Hill Family Worship Center will have revival services with Evangelist Sylvia B. Staten on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Monday-Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. Staten will conduct a Ladies conference Saturday. Cost is $10, which includes lunch. Call (843) 373-5145.
Pee Dee association to hold Winter Summit
The Woman’s Baptist Pee Dee District Department of the Pee Dee Association will have its Winter Summit on Saturday at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Timmonsville at 10 a.m. Registration starts promptly at 9:45 a.m. with guest presenter, former S.C. Democratic Sen. Maggie Glover.

Hebron Independent to mark Founders’ Day
Hebron Independent Church will celebrate Founders’ Day on Jan. 18 at 11 a.m., with dinner at 12:30 p.m. and a music celebration at 1:30 p.m. Clifton Coker of Manning will be the guest speaker for the morning service. Call (843) 373-8746.
Hebron Independent will hold revival
Hebron Independent Church of Cades will have a time of prayer and fellowship Saturday at 9 a.m. This is a “Call to Revival” for all pastors, ministers and church lay leaders who believe that our basic problems in our communities is a spiritual problem. Call (843) 389-7507.
Kippie Brown installed as senior pastor
Pastor Kippie C. Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl (Sandra) Brown of Lake City, was installed as the senior pastor of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church of Newark, N.J., on Sunday at 4 p.m.
He was the former pastor of New Providence Missionary Baptist Church since 2001 and served three years at Friendship Baptist Church in Nichols.
Brown is a 1991 graduate of Lake City High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry from Morris College, graduating Cum Laude and a Masters of Divinity degree from Morehouse Interdenominational Theological Center. He serves on the Board of Commissioners for New Church Membership, Pee Dee Baptist Association and SCE&M Convention, Late-Night Chair of Evangelism and also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
Brown is married to his high school sweetheart Tarsha Spears and has two daughters, Kyrah and Kennedy.
