Employees of the Marion County Wal-Mart Supercenter work to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network.

Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club foundation have supported Children’s Miracle Network by raising and contributing more than $460 million to help support 170 children’s hospitals across the country.

Fundraising efforts were underway recently in the area when Marion Wal-Mart’s Jail-A-Thon, sponsored by Coca Cola Company, kicked off efforts for the 2009 Children’s Miracle Network campaign.

“Incarcerated” were local officials, members of management, associates and customers, including Sen. Kent Williams, Mullins Fire Chief Robert Stetson, Loretta McGill Bundles of Joy Daycare, who raised the most money, and Mayor of Mullins Pam Lee, along with, Store Manager Sherrie Carlisle and Assistant Managers Willie Faulk and Wanda Wiggins. Subway and Wood Forrest Bank employees and associates Carl Bryant, Marcy Day, Mary Wilson, Jo Tyler, Sharon Williamson, Glendora Evans and many more. CMN Team Leader Brandon Partin thanks them all for their participation.
