Fundraiser coming up for the marching bands of Waccamaw in Pawleys Island

Schools wouldn’t be complete without concert and marching bands.

Unfortunately, many of these programs are suffering during today’s down economy.

Ginger Jackson, Secretary for the Band Booster Association for the Bands of Waccamaw in Pawleys Island is one of the organizers of a special fundraiser for the band program. 

The fundraiser is Saturday, May 30.  The goal is to raise money for much needed instruments for our band programs.

The band booster association of Waccamaw High, Middle, and Intermediate schools is sponsoring its second annual golf tournament on May 30 at the Founders Club in Pawleys Island.

Registration is at 12:00 PM with a shotgun start at 1:00 PM.

Entry fee is $80 per player and includes cart, green fee, prizes, and supper.

Proceeds will provide instruments, music, and supplies to benefit concert bands at each school and the marching band.

Field is limited; so, enter now to support all these talented young musicians. Sponsorships are available.
