Shaw, Moore are engaged

Mr. and Mrs. James Herbert Ward of Mullins and Mr. Alton Buren Shaw of Florence announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Inez Shaw, to Ernest Guy Moore IV, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Guy Moore III.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Cromwell Graves Jr. of Mullins and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alton Buren Shaw of Florence. She earned a bachelor’s of science degree in education and a master’s degree in learning disabilities from Francis Marion University. She is employed by Marion School District One.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Cora Lynn Baker Moore and the late Ernest Guy Moore Jr. of Florence and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dewey White of Florence. He earned a bachelor’s of science degree in biology from Francis Marion University and is employed by Frischkorn in Florence.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 9, 2008, at Macedonia United Methodist Church in Mullins.
