Membership drive begins

Butler Heritage Foundation has announced that it will launch its annual membership drive during Butler Heritage Week beginning June 28. The campaign will run through October 2009 with memberships expiring in September 2010.

Shelia Squires, chairman of the Butler Heritage Foundation Membership Drive, said the slogan for this year’s drive is “Be in the 500.”
Squires said they hope to obtain 500 new memberships during the campaign.
Dues are $20 a year and members receive an ID card, a newsletter, an invitation to Butler Heritage events, participation in meetings. And
most importantly, said Squires, they become part of the heritage.

Booths will be set up at all Butler Heritage Week events for new members to sign up. Foundation members are
also soliciting friends and family to join during the campaign drive.
