Women who test negative for breast cancer genes could still be in danger of getting the disease.

A new study finds women who have a strong family history of breast cancer are four times more likely to develop the illness even if they don’t carry the genes.

Researchers hope the findings will help doctors detect breast cancer earlier in women of high-risk.
