Autism awareness run/walk to be held in Myrtle Beach

Building Futures Autism Clinic, a program of SOS Healthcare, Inc. is pleased to announce the Building Futures Autism Clinic 5K Run/Walk on April 10, 2010 at the Market Common in Myrtle Beach, SC.
The event, coordinated by Atlantic Sports Marketing Group, will include a 5K run/walk and 1 mile fun run/walk with a dog walk to promote SOS’ Dogs for Autism program.
Proceeds will benefit the Building Futures Autism Clinic’s Applied Behavioral therapy program for children with autism. Autism is an epidemic affecting an estimated 1 in 91 births. The goal of the clinic is to assist parents and teachers in unlocking each child’s unique learning potential, provide program training, develop behavior reduction plans, and facilitate the implementation of positive behavior support programs.
The Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention provided by the Building Futures Autism Clinic has been scientifically proven to change the ultimate outcome of a child with autism from 5% adult independence to 40-50% independence. To learn more about the program visit http://www.sos-healthcare.com.
