The American Cancer Society is partnering with local and state corporations and community organizations to offer a conference targeting men’s health.

The African American Men’s Health Forum is designed to help men understand and take proactive roles in men’s health topics, including cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular health.  This year’s conference will be hosted from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7 at Brookland Baptist Church in Columbia, SC.

The free conference provides information and interactive sessions pertaining to African American health issues to all of South Carolina.  A variety of speakers, including South Carolina cancer survivors and physicians will be on hand to answer questions.

Many health topics will be addressed including prostate, colon, nutrition, exercise, heart disease and diabetes issues.  Booths and exhibitors will also be on site to offer men’s health information from local public health programs.

To register or for more information, call the American Cancer Society toll free at (866) 227-9398 or visit http://www.cancerhealthforum.org
