Cecil’s World: Camp Pee Dee Pride
These kids are having fun and learning at the same time. Camp Pee Dee Pride summer camp started this week and will run for six weeks. Kids ages 8 to 13 from all over the Pee Dee area are enjoying the excitement of camp.

Cecil’s World: Children’s book author
Children’s book author Mitzi Clary of Florence has a new book on the market, “There’s A Monster In The Tub.“ For 11 years, Clary taught school. Now, she home schools her three children and writes books for children. The idea for this book came from a personal experience with one of her own children.

Getting your summer wardrobe in order
Did you know summer is just 12 days away? I am not kidding, it feels like summer is already here. It reminds me of that old beach song, “Summer Time’s Calling Me.” Yes, you guessed it, I love the summer — especially living at the beach.

Cecil takes us to FFA summer camp in North Myrtle Beach
FFA summer camp is in full swing. Last year 1,700 students attended this camp located in North Myrtle Beach. This 36 acre camp can handle up to 200 kids each week.

Kids at the Ultimate Tae Kwon Do Center in Florence are getting ready to compete in the Junior Olympic Tae Kwon Do competition next month. This group of martial arts students just won the state tae kwon do competition and they are ready to compete in the nationals.

Wondering about retirement
