Dierdre Tanecia Young of Effingham, SC and Anthony Victor Cadore of Point Fortin, Trinidad, WI, exchanged nuptials on September 5, 2009, at 5:30 at the home of the bride’s parents. Elder Eddie Gregg, uncle of bride, performed the ceremony. The bride who was escorted by her father is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy (Elizabeth) Young of Effingham, SC. She is the granddaughter of the late Abraham and Juanita Merritts of Florence, SC and the late Eugene and Ceree Young of Effingham, SC. The bride is a 1997 graduate of Francis Marion University and a 2003 graduate of Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine. She did her internship at Sound Shore Medical Center in NY and her Residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York, NY. She is a Solo Internist at Sandhills Internal Medicine of Hamlet, NC. The groom is the son of Victor Cadore of Point Fortin, Trinidad, WI and Sandra Sylvester of Brooklyn, NY. He is the grandson of Veronica Sylvester and the late Wilyan Cadore of Point Fortin, Trinidad, WI.
The groom is a graduate of Point Fortin College in Point Fortin, Trinidad. He is employed by Sandhills Regional Medical Center and Richmond High School as the Boys JV Soccer Coach in Hamlet, NC. The bride’s gown was a creation by the bride and Designs by Harriett. The bodice of the dress was wrap with elegant bridal lace top with pearls and sequins. The dress bottom made of broqueade satin material with forming drape effect decorated with rhinestones and sequins to enrich this elegant look. The waist length veil was made of bridal lace top with pearls and sequins. Her bouquet was a mixture of burnt orange roses and Callie Lilies and greenery. Maid of Honor was Kristina Thompson of Florence, Matron of Honor was Michelle Powell of Pennsylvania.
The Best Man was Gary Sylvester of Trinidad, WI, uncle of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Marsha Cusaac of New York, cousin of the bride, Betty Ewing of Hamlet, NC, Dominique Odulaja of New York, Crystal Pierre-Adams of Florida, sister of the groom, and Erica Wall of Hamlet, NC. Groomsmen were Herbert Adams, Jr. of Florida, brother-in-law of the groom, Alexander Bradley, cousin of the bride, Tommy Ewing of Hamlet, NC, Abraham Merritts, uncle of the bride, Dewayne Lajon Wall of Hamlet, NC, and Billy E. Young Jr. of Atlanta, GA, brother of the bride.
Flower Girls were Keion Mitchell, cousin of the bride, and Tashawn Powell, daughter of the Matron of Honor. Ring Bearer was Billy (Tre) Young, nephew of the bride. The Hostesses were Felicia Bacote, Alesha Barr, friend of the bride, Brandy Kennedy and Mia Simmons, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Travis Merritts, cousin of the bride, and Kewin McKenzie, brother of the groom.
Reception followed the ceremony. After a trip to Trinidad and a Bahamas cruise, the couple will live in Hamlet, NC.
