Whitehead - Olson

Dr. and Mrs. Alva Weaver Whitehead Sr. of Florence, SC announce the engagement of their daughter, Maria Anderson Whitehead to Ryan Alexander Olson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Alexander Olson of Hilton Head, SC.
The Bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Evander McIver Ervin of Florence, SC and the late Dr. and Mrs. James D. Whitehead Sr. of Lake City, SC.
She is a graduate of Davidson College, received her master’s degree from the University of Georgia and her doctorate from Clemson University. She is employed as Project Director for The Nature Conservancy in Charleston and an adjunct professor at the College of Charleston.
The Groom-elect is a graduate of the University of South, Sewanee, and received his Juris Doctorate from Charleston School of Law. He is employed as Assistant Director of Land Protection at The Nature Conservancy in Charleston.
The wedding will be in November in Montreat, NC.
