Spires – Matthews

Paul and Bonnie Spires of Coward announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Elizabeth Spires of Coward, to Kirt Richard Matthews of Coward, the son of Richard and Sharon Matthews of Coward.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert and Faye Spires of St. Matthews, Mary Ann Hutchinson of Scranton and the late Ricky Hutchinson of Scranton, William Lee and Lib Flowers of Greeleyville, and the late Elizabeth Graham of Olanta. She is employed by Dr. Schwartz Dentistry in Kingstree.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Nick and Ingrid Matthews of Coward, Winnie Turner of Lake City and the late Ernest Turner of Lake City, and the late Frelan Carraway of Lake City. He is employed by Spires Construction in Coward.
The wedding will be Sept. 26, 2009, at 4 p.m. at Tabernacle Freewill Baptist Church of Coward.
