Olson – Hemmingsen

Michelle Yvonne Olson of Florence and Daniel Bowen Hemmingsen of Florence were married at 4 p.m., April 11, 2009, at Lynches River Park in Coward.
The Rev. John Wooten performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted by her parents, is the daughter of David A. Olson of Nevada and Tammy S. Balakhnin of Florence. She is the granddaughter of Sandra Clapper of Wisconsin and Lloyd Olson and the late Yvonne Olson of Wisconsin. She is employed by First Reliance Bank in Florence.
The groom is the son of David and Rilla Hemmingsen of Florence. He is the grandson of James W. Dickerson and Kathleen Dickerson of Florence, Charles and Betty Martin of Timmonsville and the late Donald Hemmingsen of Shelby, N.C. He is a graduate of Florence-Darlington Technical College with a degree in small business management. He is employed by Fludd’s Pawn in Lake City.
Maid of honor was Monique M. Olson, sister of the bride.
Best man was Eric Davis, friend of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Nicole Olson, sister of the bride; Amber Atkinson, sister of the groom; Jennifer Matthews, friend of the bride; and Deanne Fowler, friend of the bride.
Groomsmen were Derek Hemmingsen, brother of the groom; Preston Atkinson, brother-in-law of the groom; Ronald Matthews, friend of the bride; and Mark Altman, friend of the groom.
Junior groomsman and ring bearer was Vladimir Balakhnin, brother of the bride.
A reception followed at Lynches River Park in Coward. After a wedding trip to Walt Disney World, the couple will live in Florence.
