Lawhon – Franken
Alana Gail Lawhon and John David Franken, both of Florence, were married at 5 p.m. March 28, 2009, at Elim Baptist Church.
The Rev. Eddie Stewart performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Lawhon of Effingham. She is the granddaughter of Hurd Moore and the late Eva Moore of Florence and the late Don and Lazette Lawhon of Timmonsville.
She is a graduate of South Florence High School, attended Francis Marion University and is employed as a manager with Woofer’s (pet store).
The groom is the son of Lynn Franken of Florence and Mr. and Mrs. John Francis Franken of Conway. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. David Wilburn of Union and Mr. and Mrs. John Franken Jr. of Little River.
He is a graduate of West Florence High School and Flor-
ence-Darlington Technical College and is the owner of Low Country Aluminum.
Maid of honor was Jocelyn Chovan.
Best man was Alan Hyman.
Bridesmaids were Betsy Padgett and Lindsey Franken.
Groomsmen were Adam Lawhon and Jeremy Day.
Ushers were Charles Reeves, Sean Mills and Carl Cooke.
Ring bearer was Dylan Chovan.
Wedding music was presented by Marjorie Reynolds, soloist; Celly Marshall Kahn, violinist; and Joanne Matthews, organist.
A reception followed at Oakdale Country Club in Florence.
After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple will live in Florence.
