Lavender, Arvidson

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Lavender Jr. of Hartsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Danielle Lavender, to John Matthew Arvidson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Arvidson also of Hartsville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Joseph M. Lavender of Hartsville and Mrs. Lois Geddings of Turbeville and Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Hawkins of Raleigh, N. C., and Perry S. McLeod of Hartsville. She is also the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Gertrude Gardner of New Zion and the late Mrs. Velma Bryant of Florence. A graduate of Mayo High School, Miss Lavender is currently attending Francis Marion University pursuing a degree in accounting. She is employed with ADP in Florence.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Betty Anderson Bonds and the late Troy A. “Jack” Bonds of Sardis and the late Mrs. Shirley Lemmon Arvidson of Hartsville and the late Melville L. Arvidson also of Hartsville. A graduate of Florence-Darlington Technical College with a degree in computer science, Mr. Arvidson is employed with Francis Marion University in Florence as a desktop technician.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at Wesley United Methodist Church with a reception following at Lakeview Country Club.
