Laura Ruth Huggins of Pamplico and Michael Marion Lovell, Jr. of Moncks Corner were married on August 1, 2009, at The Stoney Landing House, Old Santee Canal State Park, Moncks Corner.
Reverend Edward Lovell McCutcheon performed the ceremony. The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Mike and Shirley Huggins of Pamplico. She is the granddaughter of Ernestine Owens and the late Laverne Owens of Johnsonville and Wilma Lee Huggins and the late C.D. Huggins of Hemingway.
She is employed by Carolina’s Medical Alliance in Florence.
The groom is the son of Mike and Camilla Lovell of Moncks Corner. He is the grand-son of Christine Watson and the late Jake Watson of Britton’s Neck and the late J.W. and Elizabeth Lovell of Britton’s Neck.
He is employed by James Hardie Building Products in Pulaski, Virginia.
Matron of Honor was Tina Huggins O’Neill, sister of the bride.
Best Man was Mike Lovell, father of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Rebecca Watson Lovell, sister of the groom, Jessica Lynn White, friend of the bride, and Abby Hutchinson McMakin, friend of the bride.
Groomsmen were Jeremy Scott Lovell, brother of the groom, Jason Wade Huggins, brother of the bride, and Lane Samuel Wofford, friend of the groom.
Flower Girl was Scarlett Raine O’Neill, niece of the bride.
Ring Bearer was Owen O’Neill, nephew of the bride.
Wedding Director was Charlene Owens, aunt of the bride.
Greeters were Alexis Grace Pearce, Carmen Faith O’Brian, Brenna Hope O’Brian, all nieces of the bride.
Cutting of the Cake were Allston and Ruth Rowell, great uncle and aunt of the bride.
A reception followed at The Interpretive Center, Old Santee Canal State Park in Moncks Corner.
After a wedding trip to Palm Beach, Aruba, the couple will live in Moncks Corner.
