Jordan Celeste Horn of Savannah, Ga. and Benjamin Ronald Conner of Florence, SC were married on Saturday, September 26, 2009, at Dr. and Mrs. Ernie Connor’s residence in Florence, SC.
The Rev. Robert Waites and the Rev. Alvin Cribb performed the ceremony. The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Mr. H. Richard and Mrs. Jean Horn, Jr. of Bainbridge, Ga. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Evalyn Leonberger and Mr. Carl Leonberger of Seminole, Fla. and Mr. and Mrs. Hershal R. Horn, Sr. of Philpot, Kentucky.
She is attending Savannah College of Art and Design with a major in Fashion Merchandising, internship with Hugo Boss.
The bride wore a sleeveless, form fitting lace dress, with pearls and a small train. She wore an antique pearl tiara in her hair and carried a bouquet of pink, yellow and orange Calla lilies and Gerber daisies.
The groom is the son of Ronald H. and Ann B. Conner of Florence, SC. He is the grandson of Mrs. Alma C. B. Harrison and the late Darrell Lee Conner, Sr. of Timmonsville, SC and David S. and Margaret M. Baudendistel of Florence, SC.
He attended Francis Marion University and worked part-time at FedEx, until his deployment to Afghanistan with the S.C. Army National Guard.
Honorary Maid of Honor was Elisa Leverman, exchange sister. Matron of Honor was Bethany Horn, sister of the bride.
Best Man was Ronald H. Conner, father of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Daryl Leigh Conner, sister of the groom, Sarah Horn, cousin of the bride, and Ashley Horn, cousin of the bride, Kara Davis, cousin of the groom, Amanda Connor and Jessica Heimbrooke, friends of the bride.
Honorary Groomsmen were Derek Lair, friend of the groom, Chris Conner, cousin of the groom, Joseph Burns, second cousin of the groom.
Groomsmen were Justin Flowers and Richard Sowell, friends of the groom, John Baudenistel, Uncle of the groom, Zachary Davis, cousin of the groom, Christopher Tee-ter, second cousin of the groom.
Flower Girl was Holly Payne, cousin of the bride.
Ring Bearer was Luke Payne, cousin of the bride.
Judy Kaelin, friend, played the flute and the bride’s uncle, Glenn Leonberger, sung and provided music. The Rev. Evelyn Waites led prayer for the couple, and the Rev. Bethany Douty, sister of the bride, offered a special military prayer. The couple’s friends and families provided baked goodies and loving help and support.
A reception followed at the bride’s former residence in Vintage Place, Florence, SC.
After a wedding trip to N. Myrtle Beach, SC., the couple will live in Savannah, GA.
