Mrs. Karen Rogers Hill of Florence, South Carolina announces the engagement of her daughter, Dacia Leigh Hill, to Christopher Andrew Oates, son of Mrs. Cindy Byrd of Longs, South Carolina and Mr. Preston O’Neal Oates Jr. of Dillon, South Carolina. Ms. Hill is also the daughter of the late Mr. Vernon Lyle Hill.
The Bride-Elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Roy Charles Rogers of Florence, SC, and the late Mrs. Kerlee Jackson Rogers, and Mr. Robert Russell Hill of Florence, SC, and the late Mrs. Harriet Jordan Hill.
The Groom-Elect is the grandson of Mrs. Hilda Harrelson of Lake View, SC, Mr. John Campbell of Dillon, SC, and Mr. and Mrs. Preston O’Neal Oates of Dillon, SC.
The Bride-Elect is a graduate of Francis Marion University and is employed by M. Glenn Odom, Attorney at Law.
The Groom-Elect is a graduate of Latta High School and is employed by SECURITAS at Robinson Nuclear Power Plant.
The wedding will be January 9, 2010 at Faith Chapel in Florence, SC.
