Mr. and Mrs. William R. Given of Millers Creek, N.C., announce engagement of their daughter, Alicia Marie Given, to Mr. David Scott Russell Jr., son of Mrs. Harriet Talbert Russell of Florence and the late David S. Russell of North Wilkesboro, N.C.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Evalee Chalhoub and the late Abe Chalhoub of Charleston, W.Va., and Mrs. Bess Baber and the late Charlie Baber of Charleston, W.Va. She will graduate in December from Appalachian State University with an educational degree. She is employed by Home Eq. Services.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Jim Parks and Carol Talbert Parks and the late Boyce Talbert Jr., all of Florence, and the late Ralph and Grace Russell of Wilkesboro, N.C. He is a graduate of Lees McRae College in Banner Elk, N.C., and will graduate in December from Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C., with a business degree. He is employed by Linville Ridge County Club.
The wedding will be May 16, 2009, at Millers Creek Baptist Church in Millers Creek, N.C.
