Coates-Hicks

Mr. and Mrs. Victor Young of Florence and Mr.  and Mrs. Larry Coates of Latta announce the engagement of their daughter, Christie Leigh Coates, to Kenneth Trevor Hicks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hicks of Hartsville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William O. Peace of Florence and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wayne L. Coates of Latta. She is employed with Newco Inc. of Florence.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Fannie Mae Hicks of Hartsville and the late Bill Hicks. He is
also the grandson of the late Mr. and Ms. Lonnie Hall of Hartsville. The bridegroom-elect is employed by Sonoco Products Co. of Hartsville.

The wedding will be Sept. 26, 2009. They will have a private outdoor wedding at Summer Hill Farms in Florence.
