FLORENCE - The sixth annual Pecan Festival will be Nov. 7 in the heart of downtown Florence.
According to Florence Downtown Development, last year’s attendance was close to 45,000, and this year’s event is expected to draw even more festival goers from around South Carolina and the Southeast.
Piggly Wiggly is again the presenting sponsor.
This will be the third year for the “Run Like A Nut” race, sponsored by The Fitness Forum. This year, there will be a 10k run, a 5k run and a 1k Fun Walk.
The festival will also offer nearly 200 food, arts and crafts and nonprofit vendors as well as a juried arts and crafts show.
A juried car show is also slated for the festival.

The first Pee Dee Blues Bash will also take place this same weekend. The dates are Nov. 5-8.
