People on the go in search of something to do along the Grand Strand now have a new resource at their fingertips.

According to a news release, a new mobile website for Brookgreen Gardens is now active, allowing mobile device owners a more user-friendly version of the web site.

“Several months ago, Kathleen Zeiss, our Director of Finance, brought to our attention the fact that our web site was difficult to navigate using her iPhone,” said Helen Benso, Vice-President for Marketing. “So we looked at various designs and layouts and came up with a new site just for mobile devices that is much easier to use. “The web site address is the same http://www.brookgreen.org but if you access it with a mobile device it automatically directs you to the mobile version of the site,” Benso added in the release.

Benso says the new mobile version downloads quickly and has a link to the full web site if viewers need more information.

Brookgreen Garden is located on U.S. 17 between Myrtle Beach and Pawleys Island and is open to the public daily. For more information, log on to http://www.brookgreen.org or call 843-235-6000.

News 13 is the official Media partner of Brookgreen Gardens.
