Smoldering fire turns into inferno

11 p.m update: Firemen were unable to quench smoldering plastics at a smoldering Tupperware warehouse fire. The fire weakened the structure causing it to collapse and creating a flareup of the fire.

Fire fighters settling in for the long haul

Suspect apprehended after manhunt

A car thief suspect injured an officer and escaped apprehension, triggering an extensive manhunt. He was later apprehended when he showed up in a club with one handcuff still on.

Tomlinsons are Young Farmers of the Year

Zan and Mary Adele Tomlinson of Lee County have recently been recognized as winners of the South Carolina Farm Bureau Young Farmer and Rancher Achievement Award for 2007. Mrs. Tomlinson is the former Mary Adele Sutton of Hemingway.
