The Jonathan Chase Lee Scholarship has been established at Francis Marion University by his family. Lee, a senior from Marion High School, drowned in the Little Pee Dee River on May 22 after becoming trapped in a current.

Women arrested in Lamar Sunday alcohol sales investigation
Deputies arrested two Lamar women during an investigation of a Lamar business believed to be conducting Sunday alcohol sales illegally, Darlington County Sheriff’s Capt. Andy Locklair said.
