Scott, Timmons to speak at Pee Dee SHRM meeting

Darrell T. Scott, vice president of public policy with the S.C. Chamber of Commerce, and Tim Timmons, associate vice president of workplace relations with the state chamber, will be the guest speakers at the next monthly meeting of the Pee Dee Chapter of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).

The free event will begin with a gathering at 8 a.m. Tuesday at the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology Building Conference Room 140C behind Florence-Darlington Technical College on U.S. 52. A continental breakfast will be served.

Scott and Timmons will review both federal and state legislation that may affect the way businesses run and leadership manages employees.

The chapter meets monthly to review issues pertaining to the human resources profession. Many times, the topics focus on issues that affect business as well as employee management concerns .
