Hubbard named trustee of school association

Emeriel C. “Em” Hubbard Jr., headmaster of Trinity Collegiate School in Darlington, has been named a trustee of the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS). His three-year term will commence in January.
Hubbard has led Trinity Collegiate since July 2008. He previously served at St. Andrew’s School in Savannah, Ga., for 20 years. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of South Carolina and has 31 years of experience in education.
SAIS is a voluntary organization of independent elementary and secondary schools throughout the Southeastern United States and the Caribbean. Its membership includes 336 schools representing more than 184,000 students. For more information, visit its Web site, sais.org.
