Dr. Kievers Cunningham has joined McLeod Family Medicine Center.

In addition to caring for patients, Cunningham will serve as a faculty member for the McLeod Family Medicine Residency Program. The McLeod Family Medicine Residency Program is a program at McLeod Health designed to train the physicians of tomorrow in an effort to increase the availability of family medicine physicians for patients in the Pee Dee and other rural areas of South Carolina. 

Cunningham received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the McLeod Family Medicine Residency Program, graduating in 2006, and served as the chief resident his senior year at McLeod. He served as the medical director and provider at Healthcare Place at Elgin a Division of Kershaw County Medical Center. He served on many committees during his residency at McLeod, including the Pneumonia Pathway Committee and the Quality Operations Committee. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the American Medical Association, and the South Carolina Academy of Family Physicians.

Cunningham is married to Tava, who completed a PharmD Fellowship at McLeod with Dr. Kelly Jones. They have three daughters: Taylor, 8; Kamille, 4; and Edyn, 1.
