Bean Groovy opens its doors in Florence

Bean Groovy, a Coffee Roaster in Florence, opened its doors Wednesday.

Located at at 848 S. Woody Jones Blvd., the cafe describes itself as having a blues and jazz atmosphere and offers Wi-Fi as well as live entertainment on the weekends. Owner Brian MacIver says he’s a micro roaster, which means he roasts his own coffee that he buys directly from farmers. Bean Groovy is its own trademarked brand.

The cafe also offers pastries, cakes, cheescakes, pies and smoothies.

Hours for the cafe are from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 7 a.m. to midnight Thursday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

A grand opening, MacIver says, is expected in a few weeks.
