Association elects City of Marion’s Treasurer Brown to post

Patricia Brown, who has been the City of Marion’s Treasurer since 2001, has been elected as the secretary-treasurer of the South Carolina Municipal Finance Officers, Clerks and Treasurers Association.

Patricia Brown, who has been the City of Marion’s Treasurer since 2001, has been elected as the secretary-treasurer of the South Carolina Municipal Finance Officers, Clerks and Treasurers Association.
Brown was among those elected by the the association’s membership at the group’s annual meeting in October to serve as a board member.
Others elected were President, David H. Seifert, CPA, Director of Finance and IT, City of Greer; Vice President, Dora Perry, Assistant City Manager, City of Tega Cay; Member-At-Large, Heather H. Fields, Clerk-Treasurer, Town of Ware Shoals; Member-At-Large, Shirley D. Hughes, Assistant City Manager-Chief Finance Officer, City of Beaufort; Member-At-Large, Steven Gibson, Administrative Services Director, City of Rock Hill; and Member-At-Large, Donna Young, City Clerk, City of North Augusta.
Also serving on the board is Past President, Kelly J. Lovette, CMC, City Clerk of City of Goose Creek.
MFOCTA, an affiliate of the Municipal Association of South Carolina, offers training programs throughout the year covering the wide range of responsibilities of finance officers, clerks and treasurers.
