SCANPO to offer seminar in Myrtle Beach

The S.C. Association of Nonprofit Organizations is offering a seminar from 1 to 4:30 p.m. March 11 in Myrtle Beach for executive directors and board members.Published: February 26, 2008
The seminar will be at Chapin Memorial Library 400 14th Ave. N. The cost per SCANPO member is $75 and $125 per non-member.
Participants will learn how to avoid the most common legal pitfalls that get nonprofits and their boards in big trouble, how to recognize and deal with the many different ways conflicts of interest may arise, what a whistleblower policy is and why it is essential to every nonprofit and how to design a “dashboard” that enables board and staff members to track and communicate progress toward critical financial and programmatic goals.
