The Carolina Academy’s softball and baseball teams teams have wrapped up their run in the South Carolina Independent School Association’s playoffs with losses to Colleton Prep and First Baptist in Charleston.

Last week, the softball team lost a best-of-three series to Colleton Prep by the scores of 4-2 and 9-8, school Athletics Director Roger Bazen said.

The team finished second in the state, he said.

Earlier this month, the school’s baseball team was among the final four teams in the independent school playoffs when it lost a best-of-three series to First Baptist by the scores of 4-2 and 13-11, Bazen said.
