FLORENCE — Florence’s pitching stifled Columbia again on Thursday in the RedWolves’ 3-2 win at Legion Field.

The Blowfish (1-2 second half) have now scored 14 runs in seven games — six losses — against Florence (2-1).

Ali Williams (1-0) outpitched Columbia’s Justin Hopper (4-2), allowing two runs on just four hits in eight innings to earn the win. Williams struck out nine.

Columbia led 2-0 early, but Florence tied it when David Masters knocked in Steven Neff and Brad Raj in the second.

The RedWolves took the lead in the third on Neff’s RBI single that scored Tyler Burnett.

Florence plays at Wilmington tonight and returns home on Saturday against Fayetteville.
