Tea party protest set for Saturday in Florence

FLORENCE - Organizers will hold a Tea Party in Florence on Saturday, July 4 to protest what they call high taxes and excessive government.
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the City-County Complex, 180 North Irby Street.
Organizers say a similar event drew more than 500 people on April 15, as part of a series of protests across the nation.
