Police investigate assault at high school

Bennettsville police said two Marlboro County teens are expected to be charged with assault after being accused of touching another student inappropriately.

Police received a complaint that two boys pulled a girl into the boys’ restroom at Marlboro County High School and touched her private parts, Bennettsville Police Lt. John B. Hepburn said. An assistant principal told the school resource officer about the incident Wednesday.

The boys were interviewed and released to the custody of their parents pending the charges through the state Department of Juvenile Justice, Hepburn said.
