Museum hosting Lane photography exhibit

“Down Country Roads,” an exhibit of 36 black and white photographs by Ann Davis Lane of Centenary is on display at the Marion County Museum through January. The exhibit opened Dec. 9 with a reception for the Friends of the Museum.

Ann Lane has captured simple scenes in rural Marion County in such an effective manner that stories seem to unfold as you study the pictures. Deserted cars claimed by kudzu vines, porch doors, broken windows with gauze-like curtains all take on a new meaning when photographs by Ann Lane.

The exhibit opened to great reviews and will hang through January. The photographs will also be displayed for the month of March. For information call the museum at (843) 423-8299.
