Marlboro County investigators made the latest in a series of arrests Monday, under its Multi Jurisdictional Narcotics Task Force.
The sheriff’s office is working with other local agencies to crack down on drug related crimes across the county.
On Monday, investigators announced the arrest of Dewayne Littles, of 3 Sunnybank St. in Bennettsville.
Littles is charged with three counts of distribution of crack within the proximity of a school.
Officers also executed a search warrant on Littles’ home and then charged him with trafficking of crack and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Investigators say Littles has a record with prior drug related offenses, and that they will present this case to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for further review, based on Littles’ status as a convicted felon and the finding of a handgun inside his home.
