Four arrested and charged with a deadly Dillon shooting

Four Hamer men have been arrested in connection with the July 11 shooting death of Dillon resident Edward Davis.

The shooting happened at about 2 a.m. at the former Ponderosa Nightclub located on U.S. 9 just east of Dillon, Dillon County Chief Deputy Sheriff Douglas Pernell said.

Deputies said someone shot Davis in the neck, side and hand and he died early Friday at an area hospital, Pernell said.

Jakori Lavon Bethea, 19, and Karan Famon Charles, 20, are each charged with murder, Pernell said. Timothy Lamont Stackhouse, 21, and Maurice Dontrell McCallum, 22,  are each charged with accessory after the fact of a felony.

This is truly a trajedy and it hurt to know the murderer is still out there.This young man is a son, brother, and most of all a father.God bless his soul and his family.
