20 people arrested in Williamsburg County ‘Operation Falcon’

Twenty people from Cades, Hemingway, Lake City, Andrews and Kingstree were arrested Wednesday in an effort called Operation Falcon, according to a press release from the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Operation Falcon is a joint effort involving the U.S. Marshals Service, the S.C Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services and other local agencies to apprehend suspects with outstanding warrants.

The operation started June 23 and will conclude Monday.

Several of the suspects face charges ranging from distribution of crack cocaine and possession of marijuana to petit larceny, check violations, probation violations and malicious injury to personal property, according to the release.

Authorities recovered six grams of crack cocaine, 186 grams of cocaine, 30 grams of marijuana, a handgun and $1,487 during the sting, according to the release.

Why waste time?  They will be back at it in no time - probably a family reunion.

Why make the effort to do all of these arrest? They will be back on the streets again in two weeks because our justice system just seems to work that way.

I wonder if an unindicted rapist that just moved there was in the bunch.
