The Horry County Police Department has released a video showing a motorcyclist speeding on SC 544 before dying in a wreck during last month’s bike rally.
Scott Allen, of Aynor, can be seen in the video cutting back and forth between lanes before swerving out of control and colliding with a vehicle pulling out of a nearby apartment complex.
The wreck happened near the Jackass Saloon on SC 544.
The video was captured on Officer Scott Calderwood’s dashboard camera as he chased Allen on the night of May 15.
The pursuit, which lasted less than a minute, began when Calderwood tried to pull Allen over for a traffic stop.
Horry County Police did not release the video of the moments of impact of the crash itself due to the sensitive nature of the wreck.

I really don’t know why this video was released. It serves no purpose other than to hurt family members of the deceased. No need to rub it in.

Trouble69 I agree. There is a happy medium out there and the current situation isn’t it. In these economic times the worst thing you can do is run money out of your town. But I’m sure neighboring towns love the new revenue…
They just want to use it to fuel the fire for running the bikers from MB.But you need to remember s*!t happens everywhere!The people need to stand up and run the mayor and councel out of town. Find were they get there income and boycot it let them feel the need!!!!!!
